Stop-off between Zurich and Calais

Hi all,
Am embarking on a European road trip during August and for the final
Friday I'll be in Zurich. I'll need to be in Calais on the Sunday
lunchtime for my Eurotunnel home to the UK; can anyone recommend
somewhere to stop off and stay the day & night on the Saturday? Ideally
somewhere of equal distance between Zurich and Calais for obvious
reasons.

Michelin gives the distance as 767 km half way is Cholan en Champagne
but since youo are presumable trying to get further than Calais maybe
staying in Reims (498 KM from Zurich) would do.
