If you do a SOuthern ( aruba Bonaire Curacao etc it is below the
Hurrican line for the most part. But How I feel is take your cahnce,
they are more in late Aug through OCtober
So in the summer should be fine Its like living in Boston somedays you
can rain storms some days you do not...

A few years ago some friends were going on Explorer out of NJ
and had booked it for the end and July. We were going on the
next 9 day cruise 2 weeks later in early August and did not want
to switch to the earlier one for a variety of reasons, including
having a RCI coupon valid only on the later cruise. Our friends
refused to switch to ours because they were afraid of hurricanes
if they went later. Well, there was a hurricane the week they
went, and they missed San Juan. The weather was great the week
we went. As you said, you really just have to take your chances.
