Default New Zealand travel

Airfares seem to have gone up by about US$15 in the last month or so.
Does anyone know about the train service from Christchurch to
Queenstown?

There is no train from Christchurch to Queenstown, only one that goes west
to Greymouth - a great trip.

The only ways to get to Queenstown is to drive, take a bus or find a flight
that goes direct to Queenstown (This will depend on your departure point).

Air ticket prices have most likely been influenced by rises in fuel costs.
