New York Subway

Someone mentioned a light-rail leg from the airport to the subway which may or may not be available yet. Ask around; everyone I talked to was friendly and helpful. That'd be the JFK AirTrain. http://www.panynj.gov/airtrain/ It's not open yet, but according to the Port Authority website the first leg, between JFK and the Howard Beach subway station, is still expected to open before the end of the year. (New Yorkers may have seen a specific opening date; I haven't.) A later phase will also connect JFK with the Long Island Rail Road at Jamaica. Alan Follett |
