Waka di Ume Ubud
This lovely resort is situated in the famous artist Village of Ubud.
Fittingly the resort is designed to reflect the craftsmanship of the local area. Woven grass roofs, carved wood, smooth tiles, unpainted natural flooring and an abudance of textures in fabrics and the surrounding nature. Waving green carpets of the rice terrace on the gentle sloping hillsides. Here you could be miles from anywhere, but you are actually not so far from the center of Ubud, The birdsong, the open style of the resort and the charm of the individually decorated bungalows give way to private accomodations filled with enchanting touches. Woven bamboo cane furniture, hand woven bedspreads and mosquito nets, also discreetly providing all th emodern comforts of air conditioning and a beautiful bathroom with sunken bath. Waka di Ume offers guests complimentary walks through the area twice a week and on Saturday nights they host a Balinese Dance performance for the guests so they can share the creative and spiritual culture of Bali their guests. At Waka di Ume everything has a sence of balance, of interconnectedness, of gentle service and genuine care. Here it is possible to touch a calm centre in a world that often seem too fast. To sit by the pool and observe the passing of time, the activities of the birds or the work of the terraces is a meditation in itselft. There is also a meditation room at the resort. During the afternoon complimentary tea is served with a selection of Balinese cakes. Surrounded by art, nature and calm, the Waka di Ume infuses guests with the flavours of Bali in a subtle and sweet way that lets them participate full in the experience, even in their dreams. Waka di Ume Ubud
ah yes...still another geographically misguided folk touting Indonesia once
more. Legacy of all those dutch geography lessons, no doubt. (If in the colonies, always blame whatever and whichever shortcomings on those colonizers....no matter how long ago those colonizers were colonizers of said colonies.) wrote in message oups.com... Bali Indonesia Ubud is one of tourist destination in Bali Indosia. given that Ubud is in Bali, Indonesia...what is the rationale for your posting in rec.travel.usa-canada? Are you perhaps under the understanding that Bali, Indonesia is part of the USA or of Canada? That understanding would indeed be a good rationale for your posting in rec.travel.usa-canada. But should that not be your understanding, then why the post in rec.travel.usa-canada? Exactly what is the revelancy? |
