Default Looking For Map of BC Islands

I am looking for a fairly detailed atlas of Vancouver Island, the coast of
BC and the islands in between.

I already have an older Mapart of Vancouver Island bought about 4/5 years
ago. It has good detail for Vancouver Island, but not the islands between
there and the mainland.

So what I am looking for is the detail in that book preferably on a much
larger page size that includes the smaller islands.

As an example, does any atlas have this sort of detail for Texada Island:
http://www.texada.org/visit/map.htm

Also, has anyone experience of Fugawi Canada map FCAN10 - British Columbia
available on DVD? I would prefer an old fashioned hard copy though!

Can anyone suggest a suitable atlas please or comment on the Fugawi DVD
please?

Try Exploring Puget Sound & British Columbia (Olympia to Queen
Charlotte Sound) by Stephen E. Hilson. It has historically annotated
charts of the region. Contact www.evergreenpacific.com . Because it
is only nautical charts, much of the detail away from the water will be
missing. However, it will have the smaller islands but will be missing
the west coast of Vancouver Island.

Hello:
You might want to order from the Canadian Topographic series. You can view
(and order from) Maptown www.maptown.com . They are located in Calgary and
I have dealt with them many times to my satisfaction. If you have a specific
and particular need they should be able to help.
Good Luck.
Dennis.

Thanks for your reply.

I had seen this series of maps but decided that to cover the area I am after
would cost a fortune.
Unless you know if they are available in atlas form covering larger areas?

The Backroad Mapbooks are excellent. CAD $17.95 for each edition, shows all
streets and logging roads.

http://www.backroadmapbooks.com/inde...vol1&region=BC

The Vancouver Island edition covers most of the Gulf Islands. For Texada
Island and other islands closer to the mainland you'll need the Southwestern
BC edition.

Thanks, they seem to be the nearest thing to what I am looking for and, on a
larger size page as well.
