Weather in Tierra del Fuego, clothing recommendations
In article , Sean McBride
writes Hello, I will be in Tierra del Fuego in late February, but I'm not sure what kind of clothing to bring. How cold is it there? What kind of wind chill? What kind of snow cover? The weather is very unpredictable and it can have four seasons in a day, but one thing is certain: the wind. I was there mid-February and it had snowed three weeks before; we started an expedition to the Estancia Henderson and a storm blocked the roads. I suggest you bring clothes that can keep you dry and keep the wind out - use multiple layers. I have some pix and some stories from TdF in http://www.scroll.demon.co.uk/travel.htm -- JohnM Author of Brazil: Life, Blood, Soul http://www.scroll.demon.co.uk/spaver.htm |
