What s a reasnable fare for this time of year ? will they come down ? Thanks Ross A quick check on www.orbitz.com reveals fares on Iberia, non-stop, of $783 including taxes and fees for 25 Aug - 05 Sep to MAD. BCN is $797 with a connection in MAD. Open-jaw should be no problem should you wish to arrive BCN and depart MAD or vice-versa. On www.travelocity.com the "date range" search is good for getting a feel for prices. September is MUCH cheaper by the way and in my view preferable as the weather is a bit more bearable, so if you're flexible I found fares with Air Europa (actually operated by CO on a 777 which is IMO a comfortable flight) for $492.50 direct including taxes from EWR to MAD. There also appears to be a cheap outfit called Air Comet operating JFK-MAD with fares under $500 for August. Contact details: Tel:+1 212 9831277 Fax:+1 212 9831156 SITA:NYCTOA7 TOLL FREE:1-877-999-7587 Recommend you try them. May not be the most comfortable flight in the world but it's sure cheap! Peter |
