I never bring it up unless someone inquires about a falls view hotel,
and I don't find it inappropriate in that context. I also put in my
two cents when people ask about helicopter rides along the Na Pali
coast, which I also find ecologically and aesthetically offensive.

Which happens regularly. If you're going to repeat your posting, I'll
repeat the response. It's a CITY. Cities have tall buildings in them.

Incidentally, I will continue to complain about "modern" motels that can't be
bothered with a "vacancy/no vacancy" sign forcing weary travelers to stop and
ask if a room is available. Ridiculous!

On the contrary, I would suggest that the roar of the falls might actually
HELP you fall asleep versus keeping you awake. Haven't you seen the
sleep-aid CDs, noise-makers, etc which have running streams, rain, and
waterfalls?
