Default JetBlue Cuts More Routes following Arrest of Marilyn Parver

JetBlue just eliminated their San Jose to Boston route. Apparently it
was related to the bad publicity they received regarding Marilyn Parver,
the woman that they had dragged off the plane in handcuffs for doing
nothing wrong.

C'mon! Dropping the route had everything to do with losing money and
nothing to do with the bad treatment of one passenger.

Sure the stockholders would have something to say if this were a profitable
route and it got pulled because of this.

You're right, it's not because of the treatment of one passenger, it's
the treatment of many passengers.

NONSENSE

3 carriers are stopping nonstops from SJC to the east coast.
The airport people are reducing rates to protect the remaining flights.
There only remaining east coast flights will be SJC to JFK on JetBlue.

SJC needs to retain flights, because it is spending a bunch of money on
expansion and remodeling.

For now. As JetBlue continues to cut routes, I'm sure the SJC-JFK and
SJC to route will be on the chopping block. It's hardly worth it for
JetBlue to employ staff, and rent terminal space at SJC for only JFK and
LGB flights. They've also cut back on flights from SFO. Their route map
keeps shrinking as disgruntled passengers abandon them.

SJC has to do a lot more than the remodeling. The bigger problem SJC has
is that too many passengers in Silicon Valley, like me, would rather
drive another 25 minutes and fly out of SFO. The reasons for this were
in existence well before the expansion, and are not being addressed by
the expansion.

I thought that too, but Hawaiian took over A15 for SJC-HNL and seems to
manage what AA couldn't pull off with its manpower at SJC.
