Anyone has experience with Hong Kong's Charterhouse hotel?

Hi all,
Anyone has experience with Hong Kong's Charterhouse hotel? We are
looking for a mid-range hotel on Hong Kong Island for october.. Prices
are quite high in october, and the Charterhouse seems to come out as
reasonable. Is it clean? I heard stories that it's a kind of old
hotel..

My son stayed there and it had quite small rooms. What price range
are you looking at?

The rooms are reported to be small, but it is not old, only about 10 - 15
years old. It is quite convenient and the Wanchai MTR station is about a 10
minute walk. The Causeway Bay shopping area is also only 10 minutes the
other direction. The hotel is associated with either the Philipine Airlines
or its owners. Should be a decent hotel.

The Charterhouse is clean and still quite new. I remember it being
built, and that can't have been more than about 10 years ago.

Rooms are quite small, and the location is not quite so convenient as
you could find elsewhere. Taxis and busses pass by, but its some
distance from the nearest MTR station and anything else of interest.
