Services

to Sydney (Each Way)

9:54 pm ET LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 2004-- Now is the
perfect time to plan a spring vacation to Australia and New Zealand
with Qantas Airways' "Red Tail" sale, offering the lowest fares for
travel from Los Angeles to Sydney, Australia, and Auckland, New
Zealand, as well as other cities.

With savings of up to 45% off regular fares, Qantas is making travel
to the South Pacific irresistibly affordable and convenient.

Offering the most non-stop flights to Sydney, Qantas' fare sale kicks
off celebration of the airline's three new additional weekly services
to Sydney and Auckland.

With 12 flights to New Zealand and 25 to Australia each week, Qantas
now gives travelers 37 reasons to travel Down Under.

From May 1-31, 2004, passengers from Los Angeles can travel to
Auckland from $349 each way, Sydney from just $399 each way, or
Melbourne and Brisbane from $449 each way, based on round trip
purchase.

From March 28 to April 30, 2004, Los Angeles travelers can fly to
Auckland for $399 each way, Sydney for $499 each way, or Melbourne and
Brisbane for only $549 each way, also based on round trip purchase.

Travelers wanting to take advantage of these savings must book their
travel by April 8, 2004.

The "Red Tail" fare sale celebrates the launch of Qantas' three extra
services to Australia and New Zealand. Effective March 29, 2004,

Qantas is increasing service from Los Angeles by adding two weekly
non-stop flights to Auckland, continuing on to Sydney, on Mondays and
Saturdays.

Qantas will also be adding one weekly non-stop flight to Sydney,
operating on Thursdays. With the additional flights Down Under, Qantas
will offer the most capacity it's ever flown to Australia and New
Zealand, even greater than during the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

Passengers wanting to take advantage of Qantas' increased Los Angeles
services and some of the lowest fares in years can book their travel
today. These fares are available through a travel agent or through
Qantas Airways online at www.qantasusa.com.

Tickets must be issued within 72 hours of confirmation of reservation,
but not later than April 8, 2004.
