Default Thailand with Intrepid travel

Hi!
has anyone ever travelled with intrepid travel?
I'd like to go with them to thailand (the trip is called "southern
thailand")
what's the average age of the travellers? (I'm 28)
do you have to stick all the time with your group or do you have time to
travel by yourself, too?
also, since I suppose most of the travellers are english mother tongue
speakers, and I'm not, do you think I will have problem in mixing with
them? I mean, I hope not to be seen as a "burden" because I'll probably
not understand every single word!!!I mean, I've never had problems in
mixing with foreign people, but I'm the mediterranean kind of person,
which is to say, Iìm reeally outgoing and friendly and I'm a bit
disappointed when I don't find the same attitudes into the others.
thanks

Elisa, at your age I suggest that you don't worry about travel agents,
but save the money and just go by yourself to Thailand. Thailand is
very easy to manage, even as a single woman, so just get a plane
ticket, a guide book and check out yourself the places you like.

Markus - Intrepid Travel is NOT a travel agent. They are a company which
organises tours. In their case small groups (no bigger than 12) which in the
main use local guides and means of transport. I have never travelled with
them but have heard from people who have and they ay it is almost like doing
the independent thing.

Elisa - I would suggest that the sort of people who go on Intrepid trips are
the same sort as you. I don't think you will have any worries about being
the odd one out. Your type of people are the only ones who would be
attracted to the Intrepid style of travel.

I have a girlfriend who used Intrepid for a tour in Vietnam. There was a
variety of people there, not all had English as their first language. She
said it was a great way for a woman to travel by herself as you're with a
group. Enjoy.
