When US infant mortality rates are lower than Cubas get back to us Cuba reports a IMR 0f 4.8 which may or may not be fudged by their Propaganda Minister and reporting parameters may or not be consistent with US parameters Our reported overall IMR varies dramatically by race/ethnicity and geographically. \ White non Hispanic Americans in fact do report a lower IMR than Cuba in many of our individual states While Hispanic Americans report a lower IMR than Cuba in several individual states, African American IMRs however are consistently an extreme multiple of both non Hispanic, Hispanic American and Cuban everywhere which introduces that ethnic/lifestyle variable. BTW, I notice Australia reports an IMR of 4.6 which is probably within the statistical margin of error with Cuba and no signifigant variation with this third world country. You are welcome to check the numbers reported yourself which are easily retrievable through google |
