Switzerland Restaurants
My wife and I will be spending 3 weeks in France and Switzerland this July.
For each of the following places: Colmar, Berne, Grindelwald, Luzerne, St. Moritz, and Zermatt we're looking for 2 recommendations: 1) the best place where the locals eat, and 2) the best upscale place to eat. |

Not knowing exactly what you mean by "upscale", I recommend: In Luzern/Lucerne: BamBou. It's fabulous! It's at The Hotel. If you can, you should also stay at The Hotel. For St Moritz I like the Misani Hotel. |

Whatever you want to call " best upscale" restaurant: best imho is to use Michelin red guide for France and Switzerland or check at www.viamichelin.com. Michelin green guides (Alsace-Lorraine and Switzerland) have mainly general tourist information with some restaurant recommendations. Other restaurant guides are Gault-Millau and Guide-Bleu The real "top" restaurants in Switzerland are not at [well known] tourist places and require usually reservation weeks ahead. Have a great trip Hans |

Hi In Luzerne I would recommend the "Korea Town". One of the best asian restaurants I've been to and I've been to quite a few. regards |
