Do they still hunt boar in Europe? Germany is full of them. They cause big damage in farming. In the last years, they are even invading big cities like Berlin. Josef and they can be dangerous. They can attack you, particularly if you encounter a one with piglets. My only close encounter was being charged by one that was lurking in a corn field near Toulouse. We were assisting at an accident. Some years back I was walking with a group of friends in the forests north of Frankfurt. One of them had the brilliant idea of offering some food to a wild boar. The story ended with us all racing to escape the entire pack, and we finally rescued ourselves by throwing our all our sandwiches away to distract the animals. |
