Hi Hiking without luggage is normally very good in Austria. I have tried in the region of Dachstein-Tauern - this is surround Schladming. It was very nice, because the luggage was transported from the hotel-owner from hotel to the next. It was really very confortable. And the landscape in this area was really exciting. Schatti |

I have had 9 'without luggage' hikes in Italy and Spain - all with ATG Oxford (www.alternative-travel.co.uk/) - both self-guided and accompanied. Phil P.S. If I go on a 10th trip with ATG I get the 11th one free! |

Anyone have experience with this program offered in Saalfelden? Thanks for the response. Saalbach is an excellent place for hiking. I have been there last year. They also have a cable car which transport your bike to the top of the mountain. I have booked my package with Liberty - a tourist wholesale company. They run a office in Salzburg their homepage is www.liberty-international.info have a great time stefan |
