Anybody have any recommendations for a three star hotel in Prague - wanting
to stay somewhere near the centre with all the tourist attractions.

Thanks in advance.

apparently
3 stars hotels are more expensive sometimes than 4 stars hotels.
I would check hotelsprices on :
www.volareweb.com
and www.opodo.de

in Prague distances are not that important, as local transports are very
efficient ( 2 lines of subway as well )
the centre of Prague is mainly closed to any traffic..
so you are withing walking distances from the main
square Venceslav square the the main monuments..
that is.. Mala strana and the castle of Prague.
do not forget. there are special cards for tourists
including transports and museums entries.
Taxi drivers are famous to be pirates..
you will get a card to enter all main places in the zone of Prague Castle.
There is a secluded part with a lot of small shops that requires an extra
ticket.
do not forget the change of the guard.
It is made every hour on the hour..
But the most effective with music is at 12.00
every day.
3 stars hotels are relatively very expensive as most people looks for them.
a 4 stars can easily be found with 70 eur /Night including breakfast.
there are many tourists in Prague, but now a lot of hotel rooms.
and most of the expensive hotels are almost empty
that is why you have the chance to get a good room for less than in a 3
stars hotel.

Take a look at Hotel Cerny Slon --- www.hotelcernyslon.cz.

In the heart of Old Town, delightful historic property, with a wonderful
restaurant and bar on-site.

I stayed there in May and hated to leave. Would definitely stay there
again.

Enjoy Prague!

hi
i have stayed in the hotel apollon in prague3. Very nice charming
hotel close to the city center. You get a very good value for your
money. Unfortunatley i did not take the homepage but i am sure you can
seek some pictures over google.

Best Regards

Stefan
