Default 1-way flights to UK

What is the state(prices) of one way airfares market from
Perth,Australia to UK in April or May ?.
Can one-ways be as easily and cheaply bought in Perth?.
Anything under AUD 1000,do you know?.
If not, then how much?.
The really cheap one way fares don't seem to be on the web, I think
local knowledge of ticket wholesalers/discounters is needed.
Thanks for any info.
Hartly.

Have a look at www.travel.com.au - you'll find cheapest fares come are
quoted at just under $1000 but you'll have to pay taxes on top of that.
Fright Centre have similar fares. I don't think you'll find too many
bargains in April June, as there is a lot of traffic headed to UK in that
period.

Try Trailfinders , they specialise in Australian travel and
have both Australian and UK branches. The odds are
it may well be cheaper to buy a return and throw away the
return coupon than buy a one way.

I'd say you have no chance at all, AUD 1000 would be a
good deal.

Wouldn't think so Keith. The basic single fare price for a single in
April/May available thru www.travel.com.au is less than $1000 (excluding
taxes), which is considerably cheaper than any of the return fare deals I
have seen advertised "from" in the papers and in agents windows, and
naturally those fares advertised apply to off-season flights which mostly
expire at the end of next month. I've never seen any international fares
from Australia which are cheaper for a return than a single.

have a look at www.tigerairways.com
they fly Darwin to Singapore then pick up Emirates to London.
Currently a friend departs tommorrow and has paid $990.00 AUD oneway.
Not under 700, but those bloody taxes keeps the prices high.
