Draconian vacation policies for US slave workers
Following up to Tchiowa
unfounded assertions snipped. interestingly, we had a couple of Texans over for diner last night, its quite interesting to hear reality about the US health system, its high costs, the people who fall through the ever widening cracks (quote), the lack of cover for long term existing conditions etc ..........and the two or at best three weeks vacation they had in the States. On global warming denial they just shook their heads, obviously opinions like "tchiowas" are common enough over there. -- Mike Reid Walk-eat-photos UK "http://www.fellwalk.co.uk" -- you can email us@ this site Walk-eat-photos Spain "http://www.fell-walker.co.uk" -- dontuse@ all, it's a spamtrap |

Mike was implying precisely nothing of the sort, and you know it. No, You do know it, or should. his phrasing was quite specific. LOL I suppose you think to "beat" someone in a race you have to attack them? The reason I'm not bothering with you anymore is that you style of argument is absurd. -- Mike Reid Walk-eat-photos UK "http://www.fellwalk.co.uk" -- you can email us@ this site Walk-eat-photos Spain "http://www.fell-walker.co.uk" -- dontuse@ all, it's a spamtrap |

You forgetting your European buddies Hitler and Stalin? Citing Hitler ends the thread, no? what you probably don't get is that that lifestyle isnt supportable. We need to consume less, work less and pollute less, Who are you to decide what others need to do? I'm someone who listens to what experts say rather than what is comfortable to believe. -- Mike Reid Walk-eat-photos UK "http://www.fellwalk.co.uk" -- you can email us@ this site Walk-eat-photos Spain "http://www.fell-walker.co.uk" -- dontuse@ all, it's a spamtrap |

to support the US lifestyle across the globe population will have to start falling fast. Funny, but a lot of those people have been coming across the globe to the US to work, and be part of that lifestyle. nobody said otherwise, the attractiveness of a materialistic lifestyle says nothing about its sustainability. -- Mike Reid Walk-eat-photos UK "http://www.fellwalk.co.uk" -- you can email us@ this site Walk-eat-photos Spain "http://www.fell-walker.co.uk" -- dontuse@ all, it's a spamtrap |

"Mxsmanic" wrote in message news Carole Allen writes: Well, as for lawyers, when they submit briefings they don't refer to a recollection of something read once upon atime They cite specific cases which are on-point. Do they also do this when giving clients legal advice? Dammed right they do, failure to do so leaves them open to a malpractise suit. If they relied on some vague assertion, absent any actual citation to legal authority, either statute or case law, they'd be sure to have their argument rejected. Lawyers make such assertions all the time. "Mxsmanic" wrote in message ... Tchiowa writes: Well we won't have to worry about that because at the current comparative rates of growth it will take China most of a century to catch up to the US. Actually, at current rates, it will overtake the United States by 2034, in far less than one century. China is growing at an annual rate of 9.9%; the USA is growing at an annual rate of 3.5%. The USA has a GDP of $12.49 trillion; China has a GDP of $2.225 trillion. It will thus take China 27.8 years to overtake the United States. There is good reason to believe that the actual time will be less, since the growth rate of China is increasing. If you assume such a growth rate is sustainable. That seems unlikely. China has maxed out its coal production and is already buying just about all the oil on the spot market. Since Chinese growth depends critically on energy availability I seriously doubt it can be sustained at current levels let alone increased. Heating, cooling, and popular delusions and manias

But outside, it works the other way: it takes more heat to heat moist air than to heat dry air. So when moist cold outside air reaches infiltrates your clothes, it saps more heat from you, hence you feel colder. I suspect the biggest factor in the field is moisture degrading insulation, Its much easier to stay warm below zero than just above it, where in the winter hills there will either cloud or rain present for a lot of the time. -- Mike Reid Walk-eat-photos UK "http://www.fellwalk.co.uk" -- you can email us@ this site Walk-eat-photos Spain "http://www.fell-walker.co.uk" -- dontuse@ all, it's a spamtrap |

It depends on where the air came from. If it comes from the south, it will start off hot and loaded with humidity, and as it travels north, it cools down, reaches 100% relative humitity, so air at -5 is likely to have come from the south and thus more humid. in the UK its going to be rare to get southern air at -5, its usually only -5 with northrlies or eadterlies. In the english lake district you appear to get more rain on the western hills, but more snow on the eatern hills -- Mike Reid Walk-eat-photos UK "http://www.fellwalk.co.uk" -- you can email us@ this site Walk-eat-photos Spain "http://www.fell-walker.co.uk" -- dontuse@ all, it's a spamtrap |

Right, 100% of not much. Correct. But what REALLY matters when air comes in contact with your skin is whether it has spare capacity to absorb any of the moisture on your skin or not. Air at 100% relative humidity will not absolb any more water, so water does not evaporate and stays as water on your skin. good point. -- Mike Reid Walk-eat-photos UK "http://www.fellwalk.co.uk" -- you can email us@ this site Walk-eat-photos Spain "http://www.fell-walker.co.uk" -- dontuse@ all, it's a spamtrap |
