Default Frugal Travel to NYC

I'm a starving student/artist so frugal is my middle name. I really need to
get to NYC from the west coast in November. Nothing seems cheap and driving
is out of the question. Help!

The bus is probably the cheapest way, but it'll take forever. I'd try
one of the online discount brokers, Student Universe claims to have
good deals, (www.studentuniverse.com) or check the ride shares at your
school.

You can fly one-way for about $100 on Jetblue with a little advance notice.
I don't think you're going to get much better than that. If it's too much,
then I think you should head to some college and look around for a ride
board.
