Default Are national reserves of kenya and Tanzania very similar?

I had a wonderful trip in Kenya this summer. I had been to most
national reserves, Masai Mara, Sambura, Lake nakura, Amboseli and
Aberdare. I am planning to go to Tanzania next summer. But I wonder
whether I repeat the same trip. Are the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater
Area very similar to those places I have been to? Any differences?
Also, I want to see wildebeest crossing the river. Can I see it in
Tanzania in late July?

There are certainly similarities between the Mara and the Serengeti
(basically the same ecosystem); the Crater is unlike anything else in terms
of the actual crater wall but the animals are the same (but it can be
crowded). In my experience, if you like Kenya, you'll like Tanzania and
vice vera. If you liked the 'safari experience' but want something
different from the 'plains', then you might consider Botswana or Zambia.

Possibly!

Liz,
Good to see you back on this NG!

Thanks, Pat
As you know, I've been keeping up via google.groups, but not able to post.

I thought we were going to Kenya on holiday last month but my other
half couldn`t take the time off.

Oh, shame.
All work, no travel makes Andy a workaholic, in my book!
OT: I had last week in Vermont :-) without a car :-(((

Dear Liz

Thanks for sharing your web site with us.
It's a gem and your comments are spot on.

Thanks for your compliments.
I do my best, but tend to write my mind (not everyone agrees, and that makes
for interesting discission/debate, in my book!)
