Default Outer Banks Question

I'm planning a trip to the Outer Banks (NC) in April. My wife has made a
list of things she'd like to see including the wild ponies, the "Lost
Colony" on Roanoke Island, the dolphin tour, Penguin Isle et al. Can
anyone tell me if one or more of these has been disrupted due to the
hurricane? Also, can anyone recommend other area attractions?
Thanks

I am sure that, despite the fact that they were hit hard in the fall,
they will all recover in time for your April Trip.

The Lost Colony, however, runs only over the Summer and does not start until
June, so you won't be able to do it in April.

The Outer Banks is one of my favorite places. There is plenty to do or in
my case there is plenty of time not to do anything.
Anyway of the best web sites for info is http://www.outerbanks.org/
Places to stay, eateries and activities are all listed. Be sure to travel
south to the end of Hatteras Island and take the free ferry over to
Ocracoke.
