Have cars been banned from Mexico City and other Mexican cities? No. I think that Mexico City has an arrangement where you're only allowed to drive a car on even or odd-numbered days, depending on the rightmost digit of your license plate. I know for a fact that a ride on Mexico City's subway costs only $0.20, and there are no zones; you can ride from one end of the system to the other on a single fare. -- Bob Broughton http://broughton.ca/ Vancouver, BC, Canada "Given that tobacco is legal, its users are not drug addicts." - Robert Wagner, June 6, 2008 |
