Is Mad Max a parody?
Would you consider "Mad Max" a parody of Australians? The only sane
person in the entire movie seemed to be Max's wife and look what happpened to her. I wonder if it had been made in the USA by Americans, with eery gesture and syllable the same if Australians would have considered it insulting. When I first saw it I had already been to OZ several times, had conversed well with what I thought were people with the thickest Australian accents, but I needed to watch it with closed captions to understand it. |

Is Mad Max a parody?
Yes, indeed, just like Bridget Jones is a parody of English, and anything
Ronald Regan is in is a parody of the US. Only the Indians have it right, they take the **** out of themselves before anyone else has time to. wrote in message ups.com...
