Disney World (Honeymoon) for UK couple

Sad. Truly sad. Don't bother coming back, if you're that easily amused. I don't know, can't be worse than the couple I know who went honeymooning to a Trek convention in Utah. As long as they both like it a shared fetish for Mickey Mouse is no worse than the things some marriages are based on. To which romantic and secluded luxury resort did you go to for your honeymoon Alex? -- This line intentionally left blank. 20:29:11 up 32 days, 38 min, 4 users, load average: 0.10, 0.08, 0.16 RX bytes:3794722405 (3618.9 Mb) TX bytes:57003998 (54.3 Mb) E-mail address munged to prevent spam. |

If you get an Annual Pass, you should seriously consider a Premium, as it includes Pleasure Island and Disney Quest, as well as the Water Parks and Wide World of Sports. You might be able to purchase one at a UK Disney Store, or by Mail Order. What you will receive is a voucher which can then be exchanged for the pass itself at WDW; it will be good for a full year from the date the voucher is exchanged for the pass. You will NOT have to have the actual pass in hand when you make reservations, or even when you check into the hotel. If they ask, you will normally have 24 hours to show the pass itself to someone at the hotel's front desk to keep the AP rate. An off-property villa would probably be less expensive. However staying on-property has many advantages, such as early entry and the ability to very easily get between your lodging and the parks. Also, if you are planning to do any "serious" partying at Pleasure Island, you will not have to worry about either driving or a taxi to get back to your room. Thanks Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Personally, I would recommend the time period between (America's) Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanksgiving is always the 4th Thursday of November. The time period between these two dates is incredible - Christmas decorations are up, there are many special, seasonal activies (such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and the Candlelight Processional, just to name a few). Also, park attendance is at its absolute lowest during this time period, meaning you'll encounter minimal crowds and lines. For lots of information about Disney World, and the activities to do while there, go to www.allearsnet.com. They'll be able to point you in the best direction. Also, remember to check out www.mousesavers.com to save some money (always a good thing when considering such a long trip. And, considering the length of time in which you'll be staying there, you may want to seriously consider an annual pass. For trip longer than 8 days, this is generally the best admission media, and, it can sometimes save you money at a hotel (for instance, we'll be going (in just 4 days!!), and we originally had booked at All Star Movies (a value resort) for $86 a night. With our AP (annual pass) discount for that time period (we did have to change our ressie to All Star Music, b/c no AP discounts were available at Movies), we got our rate dropped to $50 a night! A savings, for us, for $300 (approx) for our 10 day trip. Good luck, and have fun planning! |

We are geting married next August (2004) We have no children Considering Disney World for Honeymoon, first timers Not necessarily going August, anytime Sept to March 2005 Best dates to go to avoid crowds. Probably stay in a Disney Hotel Or is rental home with pool nearby best bet May stay 2-3 weeks I wouldnt recommend staying 2-3 weeks , think about spending a week there and the remaining time elsewhere. The gulf area around Sarasota is very nice as are the Keys and you could go a little further afield and have a week in New Orleans for a really unforgettable honeymoon Dont even think about going in August, its hot , wet and humid Late September or October is better although there is a small chance of getting hit by a tropical storm or Hurricane. **** it. Go to Africa and do a Safari. Waaaay better than Disneyland. The animals aren't plastic, and don't talk. That sounds like very good advice. And plus you get to see the sun rise over the RiftValley/Drakensburg/Ruengori/Ngorogoro/Mountains of the moon depending on where you go. Sod it, I want to go. |

Sometimes you just get to see the sun rise over the next baobab tree. But that's good enough. Especially when the kill is fresh. Now You are taking the **** out of me. I have never been to Africa, nor wanted to. Your description has seriously changed my opinion. Thank You. |

Maybe 4 days at Disney (perhaps a week if you really like it)... I'd suggest longer than that at WDW--maybe a week or 10 days Yes, on second thought I agree with that. If you're going to be in the area for 2 to 3 weeks and Disney World is your main goal, then there's no point in trying to cram everything into a few days. and you could go a little further afield and have a week in New Orleans for a really unforgettable honeymoon An excellent idea! It's a bit out of your way (around 500 miles I'd guess), but New Orleans is a wonderful city to visit. Great food, jazz, interesting architecture, lots of history, etc. A great city for newlyweds. (But I'd avoid it in summer when it's hot and humid, and I'd avoid it in the spring during Mardi Gras time unless the wild atmosphere of Mardi Gras was what you were seeking.)
