Suggestions for hotel in copenhagen
The Radisson SAS Scandinavia was a nice hotel when we were stayed there, and
I've heard very good things about the airport Hilton. The SAS is a few minutes from the center, but it's got a casino if that matters, and is right on the hop on/off bus route. If you like shopping, then don't miss the shopping street, or the Orefours/Jensen outlets on it. The hop on/hop off busses give you a great way to get around for very little money. If it's a Sunday that you will be there, many of the Museums are free. And if you have the time, take the canal tour by boat. "mk" wrote in message om... Pedestrian shopping area is called the "Stroget"

Sk, Last time we were in Copenhagen we stayed at the Phoenix Copenhagen, located at Bredgade 37 DK 1260 (telepnone 011-45-33959500). This is within very easy walking distance to Nyhaven, the Royal Palace (changing of the guard), the Main Square, and pedestrian walking/shopping way Stronge (?sp), for people watching, the famous Little Mermaid along the waterfrot walk, toward the cruise ship pier. Too much to try to squeeze into one day. A canal boat ride will give you a decent overview of the water front, including Nyhaven (the area you see in all the cruise brochures). What else you might do would depend upon if your interests are shopping , history, parks, museums, etc. Whatever you decide, enjoy this wonderful, beautiful, walkable city.
