Drunken BA Crew suspended from duty

BA pilots suspended amid drink claims

Two British Airways pilots and a female cabin crew member have been
suspended after being arrested in Norway on suspicion of being under the
influence of alcohol.

They were arrested by airport police after other BA staff alerted them
to an "alleged breach of the airline's rules about alcohol consumption
before duty", the airline said.

The pilots - thought to be Captain William McAulliffe, 50, and first
officer David Ryan, 26 - were detained at Oslo airport on Tuesday
morning shortly before going on duty on a BA scheduled flight to the UK.

Also detained was a cabin crew member - thought to be purser Michele
Giannandrea, 48.

A BA spokesperson said: "All three members of staff have been suspended.
A formal disciplinary process has begun."

BA ...always stingy with the grog to the paying passengers. I
suppooose they have a habit to support behind the curtain.

QANTAS is not much better. They made me feel quite guilty after
swigging my third bottle of free libation after leaving a non
drinking country.
