bullet train between Tokyo and Kyoto?

BTW, unless you really must travel on Nozomi (i.e., really need to
save 20 minutes), you should look into JR rail pass. The price of
a 7-day pass is usually close enough to the price of a Tokyo-Kyoto
roundtrip that it makes sense to buy the pass instead of individual
tickets (you can still use the above site to reserve seats). With a
free ride to/from Narita, you'll probably come out ahead.
