When we made the trip Patras to Ancona via the Superfast it left Greece about 6pm, arrived about 3-4pm following day. That didn't count time for boarding (including passport checks) and getting onshore at Ancona. Yes, well that's less than 24 hours which is why I said "less than a day". Of course you can also go from Igoumenitsa which is about 4 hours less. -- Mike Lane UK North Yorkshire |

Thank you very much in advance! John -- jskal Message Origin: TRAVEL.com Isn't that the website that tries to forward to and synchronize with travel groups on Usenet (also known as stealing content from Newsgroups), but never succeeds? This thread - on that website - appears to have just a fraction of the replies that have been offered here. No wonder, that OP doesn't get back and enjoy this nice conversation. -- Erick |

There is a similar one tapping into uk.rec.sailing. The owner of the forum explained how he deleted/censors some posts. He managed to delete the two of the best answers to a question posted by one of his forum subscribers. It ****es me off. Last time I checked I appear, like most regulars on usenet, on about 40 travel, diabetes and other web-sites with "forums" like that. http://tinyurl.com/bo2dkm http://tinyurl.com/bhwqrb I also appear on some sites that seem totally unrelated to my two major areas of interest. Google yourselves, using your nick or sig or something that appears in most posts you make. You may get a shock. Of course complaining is pointless, but I tried to by joining Travel.com just now and posting in this thread. Unfortunately, it must be approved by a moderator, so it won't appear via that site. At least the moderator will know. Maybe he'll post it to spite me:-) |

Please pull the other one - it has bells on! -- Mike Lane UK North Yorkshire |

Driving north of the Mediterranean
The truth is that we have no idea at all what a trip like that means! That's why we are searching for ideas and suggestions - maybe such a trip requires 20 or 30 days, we'll have to find out! Yes, we Greeks are not so organised, but we are trying! Goodmorning from Athens everyone! -- jskal Message Origin: TRAVEL.com |
