THE WORLD cruise ship. No lifebuoys on upper decks!
What's with the "World's Safest Cruise Ship" ?
On a 45 minute video of the ship on the cable TRAVEL station- there were NO lifebuoys visable at all on the upper open air decks. None by the pool. None near the tennis court. None near the putting green. Nothing. During the passenger safety drills they tell you that if someone falls overboard- you are supposed to yell, "man overboard!" then throw the victim a floatation device and then call the bridge. The same thing is true if someone falls off another ship (especially in a harbor) THERE ARE NO FLOATATION DEVICES AT ALL ON THOSE UPPER OUTDOOR DECKS ! Who are the idiots who made the rule that you don't need lifebuoys on those decks?! |
