Default Alaska cruise: Glacier Bay vs. Hubbard Glacier

I would like to hear some opinions on these 2 locations:
Glacier Bay or Hubbard Glacier.

Planning to take an Alaskan cruise 6/2004 and trying to
decide which cruise line to take. The choice may come
down to choosing one of these location.

Hi Slee,
I've only been to Hubbard Clacier and I was totally in awe. We had perfect
weather and a lot of calfing, the sound was amazing, I just had no idea it
would be like that. We were able to spend a lot of time there, a good hour at
least and the captain did turn the ship in a 360 so everyone could enjoy the
view. Its especially nice to have a balcony when there, we were glad to have
it.

Hope this was some help.. What ships are you considering?

I have traveled all the glaciers the ships now visit and my clear choice is
Glacier Bay. There also will be other glacier opportunities to consider too.
Never go on a one way without College Fjords and in Juneau- Mendenhall is an
easy transfer. On a one way- Exit Glacier out of Seward and Portage Glacier
out of Whittier are also worthwhile stops. For a bargain glacier trek-
consider independent to Matanuska Glacier, I went with MICA guides.

We've been to both and enjoyed them both. My mother who had been to Glacier
Bay about 10 years ago and returned with us four years ago said that it was
more "spectacular" the first time (it is shrinking and it is noticeable). I
wouldn't exclude a cruise based on which Glacier it goes to; both are very
beautiful and worth visiting.

Enjoy!
