Default Choice Hotels - " Safe warranty"

I've stayed at a few Comfort Inns / Sleep Inns lately that had safes in
the room and at checkout I've seen a " Safe Warranty" of $1 per day on my
bill. I told desk clerk "I didn't know that and I'm not paying it" and
they removed it. It wasn't the $1 - it was the sleaze factor . Raise the
price of the room by $1 - don't tell me when I'm leaving.
