We're all on on a "first name" basis here. When we type to each other, we don't use any .com, ..uk, .de, etc. If there's someone reading RTC who uses AOL from outside the U.S., perhaps you could comment about whether your "first name/handle" changes when you send mail to "outsiders", i.e. if your mail is vs. .
