Jon
I know that one cannot become an American citizen by marriage. We went
into that in a previous post.

Thus spake "Chip" :

Been doing without for years and never a problem. Granted, I have only
traveled to Mexico and the Carribean, where nothing but a birth certificate
and photo id are required. Have made about 10 trips over the last 8 years
without the difficulties that so many people state.

But, it appears that will all change.

I was in Australia last week. Made the reservations on March 28, flew
out April 3 for a week. Couldn't have done that without a passport in
hand.

Sunny,

Who travels anywhere these days without using a passport as their ID.

When we stopped going to Atlantic City and discovered Nassau in the late
'80s, our ID was our passports.
