Default Accomodation HELP!

I would stay in Sydney for more than 1 month, the Motel/Hostel within
the
city area is too expensive, is there any convenient and economic
accomodation around the peripheral/suburban area (reaching the city
within
1 hour by public transport)
thanks

Default Accomodation HELP!

Most Australian states have "holiday parks" that have cabins...
just put "tourist parks australia" into google and you will get them all.
and example if The Big4 group and another is the TopTourist parks , both are
very big groups with parks all around the continent.
You can join some of them (the two above are like this ie about $30AUD for
2 yrs membership and you get a 10% discount on park price as you go around
using their different parks.
Most cabins have ensuite shower and toilet but not al l, some use the parks
communal showers and toilet. Naturally its cheaper without ensuite, dearer
with ensuite.
They have full cooking facilities in them and refridgerators and TV
can get them from two people up to family units sleeping 6-8 people.
They are generally of a high standard these days and a great way to get
reasonable cost accomodation whilst travelling around, especially if more
than two people travelling together. The bedrooms are usally one double and
one with 4-6 bunks in it so if two couples travelling together you can have
your privacy.

Coming from O/sea, only one problem, you may need to purchase a duna and/or
some sheets and a pillow each or pay for linen which is not always in the
price , but can be obtained at an extra charge.
All cutlery, pots and pans, cooking utensils, cups an saucers and plates
ertc, along with washing up equipment provided in price.

Along the east coast of Australia can be found "Leagues clubs" that have
excellent meals and are very cheap so this is one way to save on meal costs
if you dont want to buy food and cook it. They dont usually have
accomodation though.
Most holiday park cabins have either their own or access to barbecues to
cook a bbQ on
