17 yr old jailed after holiday flirt in Turkey
"Jack Campin - bogus address" wrote in message ... I also have to say that apart from a single instance some eight years ago, where the people concerned were compensated, there has been no instance of under spec metal turning up in orders from either of the two major bullion dealers to the jewellery trade since before WWII. The instance I had in mind involved Johnson Matthey. Was that the same one? Oh yes. You notice that there isn't a 'Johnson Mathey, Bullion Dealer to the Jewellery Trade' sign over anyone's door these days. Word travels fast... |

Do I intimidate you? Oh no your don't you impoverished twonk. You've 'called me' twice over matters where my professional reputation is important to me. Now, '**** for brains' (and much else it seems) **** or get off the pot. -- William Black I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Rejection of Turkey's application is not racially motivated, it's simply because Turkey does not meet basic standards of respect for human rights and international law. Like Bulgaria? LOL SNAP Let's be brutally honest here. France and Germany don't want Turkey in the EC, mainly because a Muslim state would scupper the idea of a 'United States of Europe' forever. The UK does, mainly because a Muslim state would scupper the idea of a 'United States of Europe' forever... Now, the newer EC states don't want Turkey in either, mainly because Turks are brown and Muslim, but they don't like Germany either on the grounds that Germany invaded a couple of times. Everyone else seems to have got over the 'German' thing and have 'Don't mention the war' posted up in big letters in the training schools of their various foreign ministries but the old ex-Warsaw pact countries are a touch antediluvian in their view of the world. So it's a straight fight in Eastern Europe between the people who don't like the Germans and the people who don't like brown people... Mind you, at least they're not blaming the Jews... But if things get bad they will be... The only reason they're in the EC at all is because that was the price of getting them 'on side' with NATO. Oh yes... And providing somewhere for Western European farmers to buy big cheap farms as they're all being built on in the West to accommodate all those immigrants who want decent wages and conditions... -- William Black I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Don't you know anything about the German/Turkish dynamic? You certainly don't appear to be aware that since the 60's there has been a huge Turkish community in Germany, which has now reached 3rd generation. For the benefit of those with open minds - try doing a search on "multiculturalism" if you want to find out how seriously Germany is taking the various possible models of integration of different cultures and understandings. Icecream on the beach sounds to me more significant than your prouncements, Wm. Time for tea and a LONG rest. |

The loss of water can be extraordinarily rapid--litres per hour, in some cases-- I really would like an example of that. I suggest Canyonlands National Park at midday in the summer. It can be well over 50C in the sun, with 10% relative humidity. Hiking in that really can require a couple of liters per hour of water. Doug McDonald |
