I am planning a tour of South Africa. I have this urge to extend my trip
to include Madagascar- islands fascinate me- but know just about nothing
about it. Can you former visitors tell me some good reasons why I should
or should not include it in my trip?

Cheers,
Leo

Madagascar in a world in itself. It deserves a visit of at least several
weeks.
The central part has rice fields. The northern part has rain forests, the
southern part is dry.
The lemurs are nowhere else seen in the world. Also a lot of the vegetation
is endemic.
During my visit to Madagascar I made as much photos per day as during safari
trips in Kenya.

So if you have the option, try visiting Madagascar on a second trip.
