For Sabah, I will recommend Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort. A beautiful beach
and 30 minutes from the city......

I would love to visit a resort in South East Asia.
Need to be 5-star deluxe and very relaxing.
Has enough facilities, restaurants and pastimes to do within the resort

that
I will not need to worry about finding things to do.
Prefer something luxurious.
I would like to go to Philippines, Sabah, Indonesia or Pacific. Not

Thailand
Any recommendations please ?

Tom

But the Philipines is not considered South East Asia.

I'd say it is.

What do you consider it? Part of Polynesia?

If you would like to send a private email to me, please take out the TRASH, so to speak. Please do not email me something which you also posted.

Of course it is S.E. Asia. That's why it's an Asean member.

Re resorts, what about something like the Datai or the Andaman in
Langkawi, Malaysia?

If you want luxury, it HAS to be the Datai on Lankawi. Ask for a
jungle villa.

The Datai is great, in a jungle villa or in the main building above it.
Photos on my web site - and also of Pangkor Laut Resort, which we've
visited 3 times and which I heartily recommend.

I'd give the Datai the edge - the food is much better and you can also
wander along the beach to the Gulai House at the Andaman. We were there
for 4 days in February and I had hired a car to get about a bit. It
stayed in the car park. We were so relaxed that we never even thought
of going out.

I don't play but there is also a golf course, and the surf boards, cats.
etc. are in good nick. My wife says the spa is to die for.
