Hard to avoid, once every few years....I was from Toronto in another
life. g

Anyway, everything is relative. I didn't mean to infer one place is
universally bad and this only reflects anecdotal experience...others
may perceive things differently.

Many Taiwanese are disgusted by people here who spit betal nut juice on
the street. It seems to be a declining habit and in Taipei has become a
municipal offence. So things change, people adapt and life goes on.
