The basic problem is that we had an *immigrant* who didn't know even enough
of either of two official languages to find his way through immigration.
Now people are whining that we are not accomodating enough to provide
language hep for new arrivals. How about them accomodating just a little
bit and learn enough French or English to be able to get through Customs
and Immigration when they come to live here.

Was he coming to live there? Do I have to learn the local language of
every international airport I fly into? Good God! I'm taser bait.

He was obviously he was never convicted in a court of law, but the the
video certainly provides evidence of grounds to arrest him and lay
charges. But when the police arrived he dismissed them with a wave of his
arms and walked away. He was a big guy and obviously agitated, so they
used what they had reason to believe was a non lethal tool that would
subdue him.

Yes, he waved his arms and walked away. About 5 to 10 steps before
they surrounded him. He stood with his hands at his side, and they
zapped him.

I have watched the video several times but never heard anyone ask if they
can use the taser, as some have claimed. Some have said that they knelt on
this throat, though from what I saw, he was obviously on his stomach. Most
of the later portion of the video is blocked by a security guard and
railings, so it is really hard to see exactly what was happening, though
the guy shooting the video commented that he was still struggling.

Watch the video again. He was facing them and standing still. From
the time the first cop said hello sir, to the taser shot was a
whopping 18 seconds. They exhausted all of their options in 18
seconds? The guy who shot the taser was probibly late for dinner.

Not every one that you fly into, but if you are arriving as an immigrant
you should learn enough of the language to make it through immigration.

Good God! I'm taser bait.

Why? Would you expect to get so frustrated that you start heaving chairs at
plate glass windows and trashing computers?

Speaking the language is irrelivant. Many immigrants don't speak the
local language.

Would I do the same thing? 40 years old and first time on a plane for
hours. Left alone behind a glass wall for another 10 hours? Who
knows?

It is not a matter of "getting away with it". They did nothing wrong.

They killed innocent man.

Innocent? Why do you think the police were called in?

Security guys called them. They are security guys, not judges

I predict that the cops will get away with it.

Nothing wrong at all. They gave him 18 seconds to get his act
together. Then when he was laying on the floor shaking and screaming
from the taser, they hit him again. Well ****! Gotta shut him up
somehow.
