It is obvious that this individual was having a spaz attack long
before the police get there. A little known fact about flying is this can occur for two reasons, a pending heart attack and swelling of the brain due to the flight. Yes, if you fly your behaviour can change! The later, swelling of the brain can change people behaviour, often losing rationality and becoming violent. Sometimes these afflicted people die right in mid-flight and appear to be asleep as you depart. Seasoned attendants know this. What is overlooked is that the police are trained in CPR. Did anyone of those goons try to perform CPR? No, even when the ambulance Attendants came about 10 minutes later, they STILL had him pinned to the ground. The ambulance attendants had to demand the police remove themselves from pinning down the body. |

Police officers should not be expected to allow things to escalate to that point if there is a safer means of subduing a person than deadly force. While tasers have caused some deaths, there has always been some other factor, usually drugs. never the less, they are much safer than guns. |

The man did not threaten or injure anyone in all the time he was acting out. When the cops came he was standing still surrounded by four cops. He was NO threat!!! A disgusting overuse of force! |

Perhaps if ppl had shown their drivers license or waved their passports he might have clued in to show his own. The RCMP made no attempt to arrest him the usual way although there were three of them and a security guard. The man was not running from them but merely walking and the police had no trouble outwalking him. They should have tried to just cuff him and take him into custody. you're a retard, an idiot and in major denial. your lack of logic,
reasoning, and compassion is beyond comprehension. Being educated has absolutely NOTHING to do with tripping, having a huge ego, and power/ control hungry. that's what the new breed of cops are these days. you should be tasered several times and then and be pinned and held down with your head hitting on the pavement so you can't breathe, just so you can get a feel of what it's like. if you survive, fine...if you don't tough ****. just because it's policy doesn't mean it's not flawed or gives them a license to kill or do whatever the **** they want like a bunch of cavemen. you're justifying murder. everyone else can see it but not you. Retired superintendent Ron Foyle, a 33-year veteran of the Vancouver police who saw the video tape, said he didn't know "why it ever became a police incident. It didn't seem that he made any threatening gestures towards them.", So "Dave Smith" what the **** is the matter with you? You get a kick out of being an asshole and belligerent like most cops these days? Just because they are cops doesn't make them infallable. you will eat ALL your words one day, then again, you are likly in need of major psychiatric help. With that, you may likely continue to ignore the facts so you can sleep better at night. i hope you end up in jail one day so the inmates can do what they want to you. btw, it was "policy" to exterminate the jews too. Batons don't kill people like tasers do. The central nervous system will not react the same way as 50,000 volts does if hit with a baton. It's not about pain but the effects. He should never been hit with a baton nor tasered. According to your logic, it's acceptable to use whatever force is necessary as long as if there is nothing in the rule book to say otherwise or the RCMP's Incident Management policy which states: "RCMP members are thoroughly trained in its application, and know that preference is always weighted toward the least intrusive approach possible in handling an incident." Didn't seem like the least intrusive approach to me. Of course, since you are "trained" in the use of the baton, you will stick by the cops and whatever action they take even if it is manslaughter or murder. This all smells of a cover-up, especially with the different version of events that the police and the tape show. At least we have a video tape. |

What kind of police force is staffed with people who would go 4 on 1 with a guy who is clearly freaked right out and who doesn't speak ANY english. Actually I think there is a lot more than we have been told in a few critical areas. It is good this is so clearly documented on video for post analysis. It is obvious that this individual was having a spaz attack long before the police get there. Next, you get a person that can't communicate in the native language makes the anxiety worse, influenced by a physical issue, changed behaviour becoming violent. In come the police to see this person is being violent, gets obviously ready to take a swing at them then gets tasered. It is unlikely the person even knew what a taser was. I also question how safe a taser would be for someone with a flight induced trauma would be, but my guess the officers were never taught how to recognize this. And that dude was strong, took 4 to hold him down. Bad set of circumstances but I see no malice. My guess is if they did an autopsy they may find more. 99% of the time I strongly support the police. However, THIS time, I strongly questions their actions. He was tasered not ONCE but TWICE. Why was no CPR attempted to revive the victim? |

If he had been holding a weapon I would have agreed with tapering him but
since he wasn't and he was outnumbered 3-1 with a security guard on hand they should have done it the routine way. They couldn't ask him for his passport because he wouldn't understand the language. But they could have pantomimed it with the other passengers passports and he might have got it. It is obvious from the video that he realized he wasn't supposed to walk through the doors again perhaps recognizing the stop logo. I read in a newspaper that he was let into the area by mistake by another person so at the time he went into the restricted area he wouldn't have realized it. A poll on Global showed after watching the video only 5% supported the RCMP handling of this. -- Read and obey the Bible. Yu'shua died on the cross for our sins, He rose again and walked the earth.
