Hawaii deals anytime between late December and late January?

We're looking to make our first trip to Hawaii. Have never been there
and we want to go where the people aren't. Any suggestions?

Also, I've been really frustrated trying to find packages online. All
the major services require a depart and return date. With any 30 days
departing and any 30 days returning, and 4 available airports leaving
and 5-6 airports going to, that's like entering a million queries.
Travelocity has airline fares where you can search for a period and it
will return the good fares, but it's not for packages.
