Barcelona

We will be staying in Barcelona the last of November. Looking for a hotel
for 2 nights at a reasonable price. Not to interested in sight seeing as we
have been here before. Boarding Royal Caribbean on Dec. 2. Any suggestions
for transportation to hotel and from hotel to port?

Why not rent a car and stay in Sitges or Terragona or some other
interesting place. Then drive to pier and send one of you to return the car
and take public transportation back to the ship?

Hmmm. I've been to Barcelona at least 8 times in the past 5 years. I've
always found interesting things to see and do.

Have you been to the Costa Brava? Lovely area, not expensive. Rent a car or
take the train. Spend the two nights there. Or see Valencia.

I am staying at the Renaissance Hotel, Just had clients come back and
they said it was lovely and the price was around $110 a night, I am
staying there for my trip because it has free shuttle to the hotel and
to the airport in the morning, taking a RCCL Excursion Best of
barcelona so I can see the main sites then Back to the hotel to rest
up for the flight home So do not need something in town, THought you
may like to check it out.

Good hotel, but remote. We stayed there the only restaurant around is the
hotel one which is not bad but limited. Breakfast can be grabbed at a
little place across the street but beware of the extreme lung cancer risk.

They have a shuttle to town and back, but it is inconvenient for the return
so one needs to take the train to the airport and then the hotel shuttle
from there (lots of walking involved for this). On the other hand if you
want to rent a car and see the country side or have dinner by the sea it is
perfect.
