Why defend Russia-are you Russian? Or are you a Communist? If you were

I guess that includes World War II when they were our allies. Sheesh,
what an idiot.

They were, then they weren't, then they were, then they
weren't, then they got attacked and they were again... until they
weren't.

They had a non-agression pact and tiptoed around the edges until
Adolph got greedy and attacked Russia.

All the ports were interesting and worthwhile with the exception of Saint

Petersburg.

I read this post and can't believe that this is the same St. Pete that I've
enjoyed so many times. She doesn't mention the pier with the neat upside
down pyramid building. She didn't go to a baseball game at the Tropicana
Field (the Devil Rays really do play baseball sometimes!).

And the beaches....what about them.

True, the old folks tend to temper the landscape, but the city really is
trying to upgrade the 1950's gloom they bring when they come downtown and
sit on all the benches.

Worse than New York? Even though many of them sound like they are New
Yorkers, the residents of St. Pete really aren't that bad.

Oh, and it wasn't the communists running the city a few years ago...it was
the Democrats. But, thank God they have been replaced by the Republicans!
