Vancouver, Canada
There are numerous hostels in Vancouver. Most are downtown. I would avoid
the hostels that are east of Granville Street, personally. There is one that is beautifully situated on the beach and near a long walking trail/park - the Jericho Beach hostel. I think the rates for any hostel will be around $18-20 Canadian. It's easy to get around - use the bus, Skytrain, and Seabus. If you want to go further afield into the mountains, that might be a bit more of a challenge, but there are some buses that do go right to the mountains also. Traveler "Hallvard Tangeraas" wrote in message ... I'm thinking about stopping by Vancouver, Canada as I might possibly meet a friend there. The problem is that regardless of that I have to order my ticket now. So I'm wondering (in case my friend doesn't show up and I'll be on my own), what's to see in Vancouver, are there cheap places to stay (hostels, dorms etc.) and is it easy (and affordable) to get around when I don't have a car? I'll be there around May 2004. Hallvard -- Atari Launchpad : http://launchpad.atari.org Notator/Creator SL : http://www.notator.org |
