Court Rejects Cruise Ship Blast Claims !!!

Seems reasonable since the PI is the declared home domicile and where the contracts were initiated. Prevailing wage and benefits should be the same as legal residence. Otherwise, in the case of an American working for a company in Haiti would only be able to sue for an amount equal to what an Haitian earns which of course is a few hundred dollars per year. I know that is an extreme example but you should get my drift. Hopefully. The "extreme" example is what actually happened. Some poor third world working stiffs were killed on the job and the best the cruise lines can do for their families is hide behind the lawyers. Keep in mind if a pax meets such an unfortunate fate, their family will have the same legal hill to climb. Foregn company operating in international waters. Lotsa luck. |
