Doesn't say how old she was. Or, more importantly, WTF WERE HER
PARENTS?????

Dillon, this could have happened in any family. Even the finest parents
in the world can't prevent a tragedy like this, IMHO.

The fellow that pulled the little girl out of the pool, and the folk who
revived her, deserved the respect and thanks from all.

And she was on a cruise with her Aunt and Uncle... but it CAN happen
to anyone, and the pool was only 1.5 meters deep. or under 5 feet
deep.

True. I got a little bent out of shape due to some personal
experience. As a scuba instructor and WSI, my lawyer has warned me
that I have a "sue me" sign on my back when I get near the water.

This summer a boy of about that age drowned in a 24 Hour Fitness pool
here in Austin. They had six lifeguards on duty and no one noticed
that he was underwater.

Yes, the man is a real hero (as opposed to a "sports hero").

I've heard of that town. It's a good town, and someday will surely
become a fine city.

Did you know that Austin has some pretty good barbecue places scattered
about? grin

Yeah, I've been trying to find one. Mostly all I see are BBQ.

Best in the world: The Saltlick.

I'm told the one in LV is pretty good, but no Driftwood.

Saltlick is very good but not great. Take a drive over to Llano and
have lunch at Cooper's or an even shorter drive to Taylor and try Louie
Meuller's.

I agree, Dillon, and their pecan pie is to die for!
