Default Hapuna Beach State Park Pictures (+ Snorkeling Underwater) - BigIsland, Hawaii

One of the best beaches we visited on the Big Island of Hawaii was
Hapuna Beach over on the Kohala Coast about 45 minutes north of our
vacation rental in Kailua-Kona.

I used a Canon SD700 compact in a Canon underwater case to take the
snorkeling pictures.

Here's the gallery -

Hapuna wasn't the best snorkeling we saw on the island, but still well
worth a visit for the amazing scenery of the park.

Cheers,
Paul

It's a wonderful beach. I rode my bicycle around the big island in the
1980's and stayed in their little cabins. A great deal and closer to the
beach than any hotel room could ever hope to be.

The Big Island is the ideal island for snorkeling in Hawaii as the water off the Kona coast tends to be very clear. It's nice to hear that you had a great time on Hapuna Beach and thanks for sharing the pictures.
