Azure Seas from Long Beach to Ensenada, a 4 day cruise, with a stop in San Diego. There was a sister ship, but I can't remember its name. |

Hi Ray,
We cruised on the Canada Star out of New Orleans, I think it was in Feb. 1988. I believe that was the Bermuda Star Cruiseline. Do you have any information, or perhaps pictures, of that ship? Hi Tobie, Courtesy of http://www.simplonpc.co.uk Volendam was chartered to Monarch Cruise Lines 1975-78 as Monarch Sun and her sister became Monarch Star in 1976. Returned to Holland America in 1978, Volendam was sold to the C.Y.Tung group in 1884. After briefly being named Island Sun she was passed to American Hawaii for use as the Liberté. This was not a success, and after briefly being the Canada Star, she passed to Bermuda Star Line in 1988 as the Queen of Bermuda, rejoining sister Bermuda Star. In 1990, she passed to Commodore Cruise Line as the Enchanted Seas. Best regards, Ray LIGHTHOUSE TRAVEL 800-719-9917 or 805-566-3905 http://www.lighthousetravel.com |

In article Mqkvf.468480$084.143111@attbi_s22, says...
Defunct Cruise Lines: Some of these lines were absorbed by still-operating lines. Just off the top of my head: - Admiral Cruise Line ------ Royal Caribbean - Royal Olympic Cruise Line - Royal Olympia Cruise Line Same outfit, give or take a few nasty letters from the official Olympics; still operating, I think - Royal Viking Line ------- Cunard - Sitmar Cruise Line --------- Princess, and it's why they have so much Italian stuff - North German Lloyd ---------- Hapag-Lloyd - White Star Line --------- Cunard, again -- why they call their staff training "White Star Service" There's probably a cruise line genealogical chart out there somewhere. -- Visit my Iron Age Pages for technical and fun stuff (holiday specials, too)! http://pages.prodigy.net/feaudrey |

Ray,
Was the Volendam built out of wood? That's the oldest ship I have ever heard of. ;- -- visit my Caribbean Princess website http://www.cruisingthecaribbeanprincess.com "Ray Goldenberg" wrote in message ...
